  24. to answer them.  If I can't, then I'll ask about and if we still don't   get

  32. memory and so on.

  41. Dear POWER,
  42.           I am having a lot of problems with accessories on my STE.   I have 
  43. 4 megabytes of memory and TOS 1.62 but I can't get any of the accessories to 
  44. work.   I  have  heard that some things don't work on STE's  or  4  megabyte 
  45. machines.  Is that the problem or am I doing something wrong?

  53. You  don't actually specify the problem that you are encountering but  at  a 
  54. guess, I'd say that the accessories simply aren't appearing in the drop-down 
  55. menu as required.    This is  nothing to do with  the type  of ST you  have, 
  56. all  you  have to do  is  make sure that your accessories are  in  the  root 
  57. directory, that is to say that they are not in any folders.  Also, make sure 
  58. that the file extender is .ACC.

  65.           Where can I get a monitor with all three resolutions?   I'm fed up 
  66. having to use one screen for one program and one for another.

  82.           I have just bought a colour printer so that I can print out colour 
  83. letterheads and business cards for myself but it seems  that  I have  wasted 
  84. my money  because I can't get  anything  to print out in colour.   I have  a 
  85. colour ribbon and everything seems to be plugged in correctly so have  I got 
  86. a broken ST, broken printer or damaged software?

  94. The  problem is the printer driver.   Most printer drivers  (especially  old 
  95. ones) don't support  colour print-outs.    The  printer driver is the  thing 
  96. that tells your printer what  to to.  Some P.D.L.'s sell disks of drivers or 
  97. failing that,  look out for packages which boast colour print-outs.   Before 
  98. you do that though, with the program you are using, go to the printer option 
  99. and there should be some sort of printer set-up thing  somewhere,  sometimes 
  100. you  can select colour from there so read the manuals and experiment  before 
  101. going out and spending your hard-earned cash on a new  package which  prints 
  102. in colour.
